What is Self-Care? Why is it important?
Self-care is not about being selfish. It is making sure we have resources to make sure our basic needs are met so we can flow through life in our most balanced way instead of always scraping the bottom of the barrel of our beings to just perform the basic tasks in life. In our busy, hectic, information-heavy modern life that we live in, we all need to find ways to find moments of self-care. So we can be the best of ourselves, that will allow us to care for others to our higest level.
Yoga has so many tools for us to bring into our self-care routine. In this 3hr long workshop, we will first come in circle to discuss and share what it means for us to have self-care. Then, I will lead the group through of self-care secrets in the yoga practice we can bring home with us to include in our self-care routine. A nourishing afternoon tea will be provided.
Please bring a yoga mat, a sheepskin (if you have one), a journal and pen.
